My name is Ahmed. I was born in Kuwait in 1982, then moved back to Palestine where I got my Medical Degree (MD) in 2008. When I recieved the Japanese government scholarship to proceed with my high education in Japan in 2015, I was very lucky to get accepted in one of the top universities in Japan, Kyoto University.
WIth time, I started to realize that being accepted in Kyoto University was not a privilege on my scientific career path only, but rather found myself surrounded by many historic ancient temples and shrines and such beautiful scenery all around, experiencing the culture and history of a city that used to be the capital for more than 1000 years!
Living in Kyoto was the trigger for to finally recognize where my passion is, and what I would like to be and how I want to live my coming years in Japan.
I enjoy traveling, and have been to so many countries in Europe and Asia before, so I made my mind and decided to work as a tour guide here in Japan in 2015 and proceeded with my career development. Since then, I have been working with great enthusiasm and success.
I am a culture, history and food fan, so I can introduce to you the best about the Japanese culture, a historical background about each place we visit and can recommend to you the best food options in Kyoto. I know well how to make your visit to Kyoto a lifelong experience. I will show you why I believe that Kyoto is the most beautiful city in Japan.
I am fluent in English and Arabic, flexible, open-minded and like having fun. I enjoy my work, like to share my knowledge and experiences and have the ability to communicate and deal with people from different cultures and backgrounds.
Moreover, I am able to customise tours specifically for customers, i.e. Day trip from Tokyo to Kyoto and back, as I live in Tokyo now.

Our client gave a good review for Guide Atsushi-san, whom Ahmed provided when he was not available. Even though Ahmed wasn't available, he helped us a lot with our very last-minute request. Thank you so much, Ahmed. I hope we can collaborate again next time.
Thanks a lot for your nice words and hope to serve you again in Japan
We met our guys Shu and had a lovely evening walking around and exploring a neighborhood that we had not previously seen. He was fun, knowledgeable and flexible to explore things we wanted to see and do. He even joined us for a dinner and helped us with making reservations for the next day.
Thanks a lot Lara for your nice words and hope to serve you again in Kyoto
I booked a 1-day Kyoto tour with Ahmed for TWELVE people about 3 months before our trip. Awhile later I changed our arrival date to Kyoto, but forgot to update Ahmed. The night before our scheduled tour, he sent me a message making sure we were set for "tomorrow" .. but we weren't scheduled to arrive until the following day! Long story short... Ahmed went to great lengths to solve the problem, rescheduling the driver and then standing-in himself for the original guide (who was unavailable a day later). Overall -- it was FANTASTIC that he was able to solve this with just a day of notice! we had a fun and interesting day with Ahmed, I would definitely recommend.
Thank you so much Joe for your nice words and pleasure to see you were happy with it.
He was my client’s guide in Kyoto and showed them around Gion, Pontocho and Nishiki market areas. They enjoyed the tour very much and appreciated the tips for good restaurants and food from him. Thank you!
Thanks a lot for your nice words and pleasure to know they were happy with the services we provided. Hope to serve you again in Kyoto
