Pesillo is a small picturesque town located on the slopes of Cayambe volcano in the middle of the world region. Its population is mostly indigenous. This town plays a very important role in our history because many women who fought for human rights were born here. You will walk through beautiful paths between mountains, forest and ancestral heritage. You will meet Maria Lechon who is known as “The last mishquera” because of her work with agave in order to obtain the famous “Chawarmishqui“.
