Since I was a child I loved history of ancient Greeks and Romans and also the Art history from the Middle Ages to the Avanguardie of the '900. I live in Salerno, a characteristic sea town located between the paradise of Amalfi Coast and the charming Cilento. I'm going to offer my knowledge in the art-historical and archaeological field for anyone who wants to understand and investigate the incredible richness of Pompeii, Herculaneum, Paestum and the other amazing archaeological sites of Campania Region. I’m leading people to discover the secrets of ancient Greeks and Romans that already in the past they knew the incomparable beauty of this places. I collaborate with Slow Food (an international movement that strives to preserve traditional and regional cuisine and encourages farming of plants, seeds and livestock characteristic of the local ecosystem) and so I organize specific tours to those who want to discover the authentic pleasures of wine and traditional food. Hi to everyone, I'm Paolo. I'm an archaelogist and I have been working as tourist guide (license n° 1792 of the Campania Region) for several years . I was born in in the middle of the bay of Naples, by the mount Vesuvius. I have always loved history and archaeology, also because, where I live, there are the incredible excavations of Herculaneum. Since I was a child, I loved entering in Herculaneum and in Pompeii where I was amazed by the classical civilization. So I turned my passion into my work, being a licensed tourist guide. I graduated at the "L'Orientale" University in Naples obtaining a master's degree in Classical Archaeology and during my training I participated in several excavation campaigns in Pompeii and Cuma. I know very well even the city of Naples, where its historical center is Unesco Heritage, the bay of Pozzuoli and the Amalfi Coast: Positano, Amalfi and Ravello. It's a unique place in the world where you can breathe a magical air. It's also famous for its food, just think that the pizza Margherita was born here. I love my land rich of history and culture. “ Visiting Kyoto ”

My family visited from Hawaii and was able to communicate easily with Hiroko, speaking “pidgin” English. Hiroko took us to all the sights we wanted to see, never rushing us and stayed with us long past the scheduled end time. We are looking forward to another tour we scheduled with her in Osaka. “ Perfect day to get an overview about Tokyo ”

There are many other temples, shrines in Kyoto that are not so crowded, so I hope you will be able to visit a variety of places as long as you have time. “ Tokyo tour ”

Went on a tour of Tokyo with our lovely guide Chiaki. Chiaki was an absolute delight! *prompt - Chiaki arrived at our hotel ahead of meeting time *courteous - so kind, so polite *helpful - willing to arrange our day to best suit our compressed timeline, find the perfect lunch spot, and plan our return to our hotel later without her via subway by providing a map and a post -it note with detailed train and transfer information *knowledgeable - whether questions about the city, the trains, or historical/cultural questions, Chiaki cheerfully shared her knowledge
