We go to Fushimi Inari shrine in the morning.
Fushimi Inari is the most popular sightseeing spot in Japan. So no way to skip this spot!! Next, we will go to Kiyomizu temple. Also, there is Sanneizaka which is a traditional slope pass around Kiyomizu district. Then walking around the Gion area in the nighttime! If we have extra time, I will introduce you Nishiki market!

We (family of 6, 3 generations from Australia) arrived in Kyoto this morning and basically headed straight out on a food tour with Hero. Having never been to Japan we wanted someone who could help us navigate the markets and restaurants and introduce us to Japanese food and culture. Hero did all that and more. Despite having next to no sleep Hero made us all forget how tired we were and kept us engaged with interesting facts about the area and history and of course trying many delicious Japanese dishes. We had such a great time and I’m so glad I booked Hero. He was so good with our 7 yr old son too, who was really disappointed when it was time to say goodbye! Thank you again Hero and if we are ever in Kyoto again we will definitely book you again!
May thanks to Hero for the great tour. He tried to incorporate all our ideas and wishes to make the most of this tour. We have seen a lot of Kyoto and he also explained a lot and answered our questions. He felt more as a friend than a tourguide. Andrea
Thank you very much for sharing a good time with me!! It was a pretty active day with all of you! I hope all of you got a positive vibe from my tour! Also, I could learn many things from Europe and the U.S. Prost!!! Hero
I didn't want a planned day, I wanted to explore and experience. Hiro made sure we had a full day of just that. It was like running around town with an old friend. We saw the sights, ate delicious food and enjoyed Hiro's company. He created the perfect day for us and give us suggestions for the rest of our trip. Thank you for a memorable day!
Thank you very much for hiring me that night!! It was fun to explore Kyoto with 2 of you. Also, thank you for treating me with many shots of Sake and meals!! I hope to see you someday in U.S.
We had 4 food tours around Japan , and hero’s tour was our least favorite . Hero was nice but was clueless of what a food tour is . He kept asking what we wanted to eat and kept asking for transportation money during the tour . I was surprised he charges extra which I did not read when I booked . He took us to restaurants that were crowed and I asked for street food . Hope he improves his game , he was very pleasant .
Hello Pat, Thank you for your honest reply! I am sincerely sorry that I could not provide you with what you were looking for. Unfortunately Nishiki Market was very crowded that day and I did not want to waste your time by making you queue up for ages. That`s why I asked you what kind of food you liked so I could provide some alternatives. But I understand now that that came across as very unprofessional to you. I am so sorry for the misunderstanding! I am also very sorry that the restaurants were crowded! During cherry blossom season Kyoto is very busy unfortunately and all the good places tend to get especially busy. I know that that must have been so frustrating to you. I tried really my best to make everyone in your family happy. When the guests have very different ideas (for example street food vs sit down restaurant) of what they want to eat I always try to find a compromise, but I think this time my offers could not satisfy everyone in your party. Once again let me sincerely apologize to you! I am very happy to hear though that you seemed to have a great experience with other guides, so my mistake did not put you off japanese food and people in general. I hope you have a lovely rest of your trip and lots more delicious food! Kindest regards, Hero
