In Edo period, Nagoya Castle was built by the Owari Domain and was the center of this city of Nagoya. We are going to start with this heart of Nagoya.
Osu Kannon Temple and Osu shopping street is the place locals love!
Osu Kannon is a Buddhist temple and one of the three biggest Kannon in Japan. Osu shopping street is a unique place offering various shops and restaurants! So local people visit here for various reason, such as praying, shopping, restaurants, bars, etc.
So let's hang out here and do things like locals.
This is one of the most important shrine in Japan.
The shrine has an incredibly long history of over 1900 years and has one of the three national imperial treasure in Japan. The treasure is named Kusanagi no Tsurugi, which is a sacred sword. We are not allowed to see it, but you will definitely feel the holy peaceful atmosphere when visiting.
At Nagoya Station
This Nagoya trip has almost all the major sites in Nagoya. You are able to see and learn the history of Nagoya while you are experiencing Nagoya's culture and local foods, through some historical places and locals' favorite places.
