JR Sakuragicho station. If you like to meet me at hotel in Tokyo. It is possible. But extra charge is required
Sakuragi-cho station is the first railway station in Japan and current station is the 5th generation. Around this station, there are museums and other historical and tourist spots. You can enjoy path of Japanese modernization.
Builings called "Red brick warehouse" were used as bonded warehouse until 1989 and 2002 they were reopened as commercial buildings. This area is a historical area and good place to see Big pier and Yokohama bay bridge.
There are 3 towers named King, Queen and Jack. King is headquater of Local government office and Queen is headquater of Custom. Jack is used as a conference hall but you can enjoy nice staind glass art inside..
Yamashita park was built after an big earthquake in 1923. Now it is full of flowers and many events are held by time to time. a lot of people are ralxing and very nice place to take pictures of Yokohama harbour.
This China town is the biggest one in Eastern Asia and over 200 Chinese restaurants are located. You can enjoy nice meal and totally different atmosphere from anywhere else. This is the ideal place for lunch.
Harbour view park locates at top of a hill and there is an English garden near to the park. It is walk-in distance from China town.
It is a nice place for photo taking with Yokohama bay bridge.
There are a couple of Western style houses built about 100 years ago. Those houses shows that Yokohama was a window to adapting Western culture.
Sankei-En is a Japanese garden and nice place to enjoy quiet atmosphere and photo taking. It takes about 30 min from China town by bus.
JR Sakuragicho station.
In this tour, I will take you to at least 7 impressive places for picture taking . It is possible to visit Yokohama by yourself . But not everybody takes pictures at ideal places. Therefore my knowledge will help you to keep good memory of Yokohama.
Yokohama is a big town and central area is surrounded by big buildings. The first point is near Sakuragi-cho area ,which is original port area, has several places to enjoy nice view of buildings and amusement park. The second point is an ideal place to see Yokohama Bay bridge. The third point is famous Red bricks warehouse area where always some events are taken place. After the Red bricks warehouse area, we will see 3 historical towers. There is one tower which has historical value in inside which you can take pictures. And the next point is close to Yamashita park. It is a well known place and has not well-known historical story . Chinatown is another place where you can enjoy different atmosphere and pictures than any place else. After China town, you have a choice for further tour. The first one is Harbor view park area which has westernized park and the second one is Sankei-En which is much bigger and Japanese style garden.
At Harbor view park area, there is atmosphere of early stage of Westernized Japan and Western style gardens with many flowers including roses.
Sankei-En which is a big Japanese garden located in south of central Yokohama and it takes about 30 minutes from China town by bus. You can enjoy the garden all the year round with different scene and flowers. It means you can enjoy different points for picture taking in every season. My recommendation is Sankei-En.
Guide fee
Transportation fee( you and guide), meal, entrance fee, Hotel pick up if hotel location is out of Yokohama
It is depend on weather condition if you can take satisfying picture or not.
This tour is walking tour. Therefore, wearing sneaker is recommended.
If you choose Sankei-En for the last place to go, it may take more than planned time .
Hiro is an excellent tour guide! He designed a fantastic day trip visit to Hakone for our family of 8 and was highly communicative and organized both leading up to our tour date, as well as during our visit to Hakone. We got very lucky with stunning views of Mt. Fuji and appreciated Hiro's historical knowledge and Japanese cultural insights. I highly recommend booking your private tour with Hiro.
We loved our day with Hiroshi! He allowed us to plan a very specific itinerary of the 2 things we wanted to do in Hakone: Hike Mt. Kintoki and visit the Hakone Open Air museum. This required navigating and timing the trains and buses perfectly, which he easily did for us. Hiking with him was safe and fun and he shared great stories. Lunch at the top was a treat and resting our tired feet in the hot springs at the museum was an unexpected highlight. It was a stress free day in Hakone and we would love to travel with Hiroshi again.
Thank you for your comment and I had great time with your family. I am waiting for another chance to guide you.
My wife and I had a great time wish Hiroshi. We did not have much time in Tokyo and having Hiroshi as a guide was a must. We had a chance to visit many places and most important learn about the culture and Japan history. Hiroshi was a 5 star guide! Also fun and great companion.
Dear Andre Thank you for your evaluation of my tour. I enjoyed being with you and your wife. I am glad to find you had fun with me and explanation about Japanese history and culture. I think you have many reasons to visit Japan again and I wish to show you many other places in Japan. Hiroshi
We had the best day trekking through Hakone with Hiroshi! He was funny, engaging, and very knowledgeable. He was well-prepared and we appreciated the time he spent customizing our day to meet our needs. We were sad to say our goodbyes! We highly recommend booking a tour with Hiroshi, you will not be disappointed!
Dear Anne Thank you for your good review about our tour in Hakone and I am glad by knowing you satisfied with me. I hope I can be your guide again. And next time, let go to Kintoki-san.
