This safari will take you to Uganda’s largest park, Murchison Falls National Park, situated in the northwest on an area of 3,840 sq km and created in 1926 as a game reserve. With savannah grasslands and the Victoria Nile that flows through separating it into two (the northern and the southern bank), Murchison Falls is home to over 451 bird species including the great blue turaco, goliath heron, shoebill, and dwarf kingfisher, 76 mammal species, and the magnificent and thunderous Murchison Falls
Hotel/Airport
I will pick you up at the Kampala/Entebbe guest house at 7:00 am and drive northwestwards to Murchison Falls National Park with a planned 2hr stopover at the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for the rhino sighting.
We will have lunch at Kabalega Dinners and embark on the journey to Murchison falls national park.
Early morning, you will go for a game drive in the park to spot elephants, lions, giraffes, and other wildlife. In the afternoon, you will take a relaxing boat trip on the River Nile, and here you will have a chance to see crocodiles, hippos, and a range of rare birds. You will also see for yourself the point where River Nile joins Lake Albert, one of the “major highlights” of this trip.
Visit the top of Murchison Falls in the later afternoon. This trip will take you to upper Murchison Falls National Park, where you have spectacular views of Murchison Falls along the Nile River.
Memories of the game life still fresh in our minds, after breakfast we shall embark on our journey back to Kampala with a planned lunch en-route and drop off in Kampala/Entebbe/Airport
